She is a trained sex counselor, an experienced group facilitator, workshop leader, professional speaker and sex educator. She holds a Doctorate in Human Sexuality and a Masters degree in Marriage, Family and Child Therapy. She has experience teaching sex education at the high school level and has assisted with the Love, Intimacy, & Sexuality workshops for adults at the Human Awareness Institute since 2003. She has also worked as a rape victim advocate for the Sexual Assault Resource Center in Portland, Oregon.
Dr. Silver is a member of the American College of Sexologists and the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists.
